Join us Sunday afternoons at Neighborhood Yoga for a six week class April 15th - May 20th

5:30pm Meditation (open to the public) 6:00 – 7:00pm Workshop (for registered participants*)

Learn meditation techniques, and Kriya Yoga's universal practices for well-being and

well-centered actions in every moment. Enlightenment, our natural state, is realized amidst

transcending everyday challenges through; meditation, and our unfolding awareness.

 

Week One - April 15th: Basic Meditation & Yoga Systems for everyone

Descriptions and histories. We'll look at the classical systems of yoga:

physical, mental, devotional, doing good deeds or combinations thereof

 

Week Two - April 22nd: Spirituality & Nature

The Processes of Cosmic Manifestation - where yoga and science meet.

Plus Ayurveda fundamentals - knowledge for a healthy life.

 

Week Three - April 29th: Living toward Wholeness

The Yoga Sutras 1. Super-conscious states and how to experience our pure essence.

The Yoga Sutras 2. Spiritual practice, the eight limbs of yoga.

 

Week Four – May 6th: Intuition, Realization and Freedom

The Yoga Sutras continued - insights and the culmination of practice

 

May 11th: Kriya Yoga Initiation Ceremony

Interested participants will be offered yogic practice techniques

as taught by Paramahansa Yogananda and Kriya Yoga initiation.

 

Week Five – May 13th: The Seeker and the Infinite

Review of Kriya Techniques

The Shandilya Upanishad and/or The Bhagavad Gita 

A look at the inner meaning within this classic allegory

The Seeker of knowledge meets the ever-present radiance of the infinite.

 

Week Six - May 20th: Field Trip to Asheville CSA

Meet at the parking lot across from Neighborhood Yoga at 6:45am for car pool with Kent.

Roy Eugene Davis will be presenting a talk on meditation. details

 

*Entire Series: $40  or $10 per class*

Pre-registration includes all six classes, a donation to Karma Krew and our study book for this class;

The Science of Self Realization, with several meditation techniques, a translation of The Yoga Sutras,

the inner meaning of the Bhagavad Gita, a key Upanishad, a glossary of yoga terms and more.
